Sunday Afternoon at Sevenoaks Nature Reserve with Mandy

Today at around 3.20pm Mandy and I drove to Sevenoaks Nature Reserve for a wander, armed with my Macro lens to see if anything of interest was about!

We had nearly a 2 hour walk and a fair size list of birds which was as follows:

BLACKBIRD
GREAT TIT x 2 (in and out of nestbox feeding young)
LAPWING (lots of these were displaying)
MUTE SWAN
COOT (with young)
LITTLE RINGED PLOVER x2
MOORHEN
CANADA GEESE (with Goslings)
MALLARD
GREAT CRESTED GREBES
SAND MARTINS
WOOD PIGEON
PIED WAGTAIL
EGYPTIAN GEESE (with young)
CORMORANTS
KINGFISHER (good spot by Mandy)
ROBIN
CHIFFCHAFF (feeding young)
MAGPIES
BLUE TITS
WREN
CHAFFINCH
GREYLAG GEESE
TUFTED DUCK
GOLDCREST (heard only)
BLACKCAP (male, another good spot by Mandy)
SWIFTS

I Appear to have lost my book which shows different plants, fungi etc so am unable to identify what your looking at!

  1. Hi Phil, even with a book I would struggle! some lovely shots though and some good birds at Sevenoaks, I've only ever been once, All the best :-)
