Sunday 17 July 2011

This lunchtime, Mandy's family which included her sister Michele, took my parents and myself out for Sunday lunch to celebrate my Mum and Dads 50th Wedding Anniversary which was a few ago, after which Mandy, Michele and I decided to pay a quick visit to Sevenoaks Nature Reserve, we had about an hour there, dodging the rain showers well. We had an impressive list of 22 brds in the time we spent and as the weather was inclement was not a bad list, they were as follows:

Great Crested Grebe
Coots
Lapwings
Tufted Ducks
Black Headed Gulls
Mallards
Sand Martins
Mute Swans (+ cygnets)
Cormorants
Moorhen
Wood Pigeon
Magpies
Pied Wagtail
Grey Heron
Egyptian Geese (2 adults 3x Juv)
Canada Geese
Carrion Crow
Greylag Geese
Jay (heard a pair of)
Blue Tit
Robin
Blackbird

The Robin (below) is a friendly Robin that joins you as you eat and drink at the tables, lovely to see.
