ReplyDeleteRe. your ? shots ,
1. Looks like Columbine / Aquilegia vulgaris , most probably a garden escape , as is 3. In the garden , they come in many colours .
2. Is the larva of the Harlequin Ladybird .
Hawthorn ? looks more like the Bramble flower that you photographed the BumbleBees on .
Thanks Greenie, much appreciated
ReplyDeleteGood to see you out there again Phil, keep at it mate, there's lots to learn :-)
ReplyDeleteHope you had a good holiday. Lovely shots here.
ReplyDeleteYou (and Greenie) have cleared up a mystery for me. I found the most strange little creature on a gate post recently but only managed one quick photo as people were waiting to go through the gate. The photo was too blurred to publish but I now know it was a Harlequin Ladybird larvae. I am so pleased to have cleared that up as it has been intriguing me, a very odd looking little thing I thought.
Nice to see the Slow Worm.
