Mandy and I drove to Westerham at around 9.00am this morning to pick up Denis, we then drove to Dungeness RSPB for some birding and a picnic.
We had a good selection of birds today, they are as follows:
Mute Swan
Greylag Geese
Shelduck
Shovelor
Tufted Duck
Great Crested Grebe
Cormorant
Moorhen
Coot
Oystercatcher
Lapwing
Black Headed Gull
Herring Gull
Lesser Black Backed Gull
Wood Pigeon
Yellow Wagtail
Pied Wagtail
Dunnock
Reed Warbler
Whitethroat
Blue Tit
Great Tit
Linnet
Reed Bunting
Carrion Crow
Cuckoo (heard not seen)
Swallow
Magpie
Pair of Shelducks
Male Tufted Duck above and below
Cormorant in flight
The gorgeous Yellow Wagtail
I think this is a female Linnet although I am not 100% certain?
The one above and the 2 below are the Whitethroat, a good spot by Mandy
The Pied Wagtail
Female Linnet it is.

ReplyDeletePhil & Mandy ,
ReplyDeleteAnother successful trip to Dunge by the look of it .
Well done with the Common Whitethroat shots , I've struggled to get close to one this Spring .
Looks like you recorded more than I did when I visited Phil :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Phil and Mandy, Looks like you had a good trip to Dunge, there's always plenty to see, Yellow Wags are a nice addition to the day list whenever you find them, great stuff
