Mandy and I drove to our friend Peter yesterday morning at St Margaret's at Cliffe (http://forewood.blogspot.com) for more details of our visit. From Peters we drove to Sandwich Bay Bird Observatory but had a few good spots on the way. Our list for the day is as follows:

As you say , a great four hours . If only it was like that all of the time .
Hi Phil and Mandy, the moth labelled as a Dot is a Cabbage Moth, and despite me telling Peter that Hoplodrina was a Rustic, I now think he was right the first time and it's a scond generation Vine's Rustic. The Carpet looks more like a Common Carpet to me (I can't see much red in it).
