Today Mandy and I went to Dungeness for a spot of Digiscoping etc. We arrived at around 11.10am and started our stroll.The 1st few spots were as follows: Coots, Cormorants and Tufted Ducks. From the 1st hide we spotted Shoveler, Canada Geese, Oystercatchers and Greylag Geese. As we were on our way to the next hide we were stood looking at one of the lakes and had a lovely view of a Reed Bunting flying straight at us a few feet away, a pleasurable experience! Magpies were next up and Great Tits were heard calling, a lone Moorhen and a pair of Shelducks and a pair of Mallards. A Cettis Warbler was rather vocal and the the "chiswick, chiswick" call of the Pied Wagtail. A few Great Crested Grebes were also spotted along with Carrion Crows and a lone Blackbird. Chiffchaff's were calling around the reserve, and Green Woodpeckers also calling and as we were driving to the Hanson pit the other side of the road we spotted a lone Grey Heron.
From the ARC pit we spotted Black Headed Gulls, Little Ringed Plover, Pochard and a few Swallows. A male and female Marsh Harrier were also spotted along with a lovely Yellow Wagtail.

The explosive call of Cetti's Warbler is always nice to hear .
