After work this evening I drove to Bough Beech RSPB and met up with Lin and Dave,
upon my arrival I spotted Blackbird, Coot, and Pied Wagtail. I could hear a Great Spotted Woodpecker although I did not actually see it. I was pleased to spot Common Tern, one of my favourite birds and not seen often and also a small group of Shelducks. Great Ctested Grebes were in high numbers and a few Grey Herons were also spotted along with Mute Swans. I think Blue Tits were nesting in the hedgerows as they were also in abundance in that vicinity. Tufted Ducks and Canada Geese spotted along with Carrion Crow and Great Tit, the latter wass heard only though. Swallows were feeding well over the water and a small group of Mallards gave us a fly past. Dave could here a Coal Tit calling, I missed this one, Lin then spotted a Common Sandpiper (see photos) and Dave pointed me in the direction of an island with a lot of Cormorants upon it and to finish a pair of Linnets. All photos Digiscoped again.
