Sevenoaks Nature Reserve with Denis and another 26 species.

Today after an hours less sleep, I drove to the nature reserve at Sevenoaks and met up with Denis at 8.40am and whilst I was waiting for him to arrive I spotted Magpie, Blackbird, Wood Pigeon, Blue Tit, Great Tit and Canada Geese and heard a noisy Pheasant calling.

We 1st went to the small hide with the garden feeders next to the tea shop part of the reserve and stayed in there for around 30mins, whilst in there we spotted Robin, Tufted Duck, Coot, Mallards, a cock Chaffinch and a pair of Dunnocks and also a rabbit sitting in the undergrowth below the feeders.

We decided to go round to the Tyler Hide (Denis is a wheelchair user) so the Tyler Hide is easy for him to get to now the paths are done etc. Mute Swan were spotted on the way along with Moorhen, Greylag Geese, Lapwing, Great Crested Grebe and Common and Lesser Black Backed Gulls.

Cormorants were sunning themselves in the usual spots and Denis spotted a few Teals and then I spotted the bird of the day which was a Little Ringed Plover, this was followed by a handful of Snipe and 3 Carrion Crows and to finish off the day the laughing call of the Green Woodpecker.

Again all photos have been digiscoped and I think personally they are getting better, any comments would be appreciated though.
